Jericho & Kristine: The Birth of a Loveteam
chismis.ph Online, Nov 21, 2001
The
top-rating teleserye Pangako Sa 'Yo marked the birth of an
exciting loveteam of Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales.
Jericho blends well with the beauty
of Kristine and at the same time enhances the dramatic portions of Pangako
Sa 'Yo.
The successful team-up of the two
bright stars from different batches of Star Circle prompted Star
Cinema to immediately cook up a movie project to further boost their
popularity as a loveteam. It is called Trip and is directed by
Gilbert Perez whose first directorial assignment (Kahit Isang
Saglit, starring Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual) is a certified
hit.
During the presscon of Trip
Kristine and Jericho obviously have eyes only for each other. They
hold hands and kiss each other on the cheek, proof of how much they
care. But then, since they are promoting a movie, such movements could
be studio orchestrated.
Apparently, Jericho has overcome the
pain brought about by his past relationship with Angelica dela Cruz.
He can talk about it without bitterness. The experience made him a
wiser and mature person.
His world for the moment revolves
around his family, his work and Kristine.
She is an inspiration. "The
fact that we are almost together everyday because of tapings gives us
the opportunity to discover new things about each other. I realized na
lalo siyang gumaganda araw-araw. She is also childlike, moody and
very caring."
They talk about almost everything:
food craving, movies to watch (she is always chaperoned), non-showbiz
events, global news, physical fitness and sweet nothings.
Kristine describes Echo as most
patient and a perfect gentleman who makes sure she is comfortable at
all times.
Jericho doesn't hide his true
feelings towards Kristine when he finally admits, "I Love
her" to the select press.
On the other hand, would it be
unlady-like for Kristine to say such words and instead utter a
non-committal reply like "madaling mahalin si Echo."
